Saturday Night Live with Usher
Did anyone catch Usher's performance last night on SNL? That fool tore that show down. Hands down one of the best SNL performances I've seen. If you guys didn't get the chance to catch it, wait a couple of days and then download it off Kazaa or somewhere else. Then again, get any live version of 'Yeah' and it'll be the same. At the end of the show, Usher's eyes were plastered on the hostess's breasts. hahaha. Lindsay Lohan was wearing this low-cut dress and Usher was caught like a deer blinded by a car's headlights. Wait till homegirl turns 18, then do something Usher. Yeah. hahah

On Friday at work, I finally found out I'm getting my own stack of business cards. I don't know why I feel so happy about this, but I really am. Guess it's because I can now give the applicants I interview a professional card instead of the ghettofabulous temporary card I used to hand over before. I also got a necktie from one of my co-workers yesterday. She went to the same college in Japan, Waseda University, as me and she had a tie that she didn't need. I've always wanted a tie from Waseda but when I was there, the selection they had was pretty bad. So, when Rumi gave me her tie, I was shocked because I've never seen that color and pattern before. It was tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Made my day and a half. =D
I used to always give my friends a hard time when I would ask them to go clubbing or drinking and they would decline using 'exhaustion from work' as an excuse. Back in college I was a full-time student, had two jobs, and still found the time to party til the crack of dawn. Sadly though, now I think I'm finally grasping the concept of what they meant. For the past three weeks, I really haven't been able to catch up on my sleep and I think it's finally taking a toll on my body. I thought I was going to get to sleep in on Saturday, but my mechanic told me on Friday he wanted me to bring in my car early the next morning. Uggg.
After I dropped my car off and did my errands on Saturday morning, I thought I'd get a chance to take a short nap, but one of my friends from Pittsburgh called me telling me he was in the San Gabriel area and was leaving to go back to the east coast tomorrow. So, I headed out with Linda to meet up with him. And Kevin, if you're reading this, I had a blast catching up with you GB-sama. Next time you come out the LA, we'll kick it some more. Oh, and Houston, we have lift off. =D What chu going to do about THAT one man? Better wear a long sleeve shirt the next time you visit Texas partnah so you don't "fall down on glass" again. hahahahaha!
Kevin and I
After getting some sushi with my parents and Linda in Chino Hills, I felt like I my body was trudging through quicksand. After watching SNL, I climbed into bed and dozed off almost instantaneously.
Fast forward to today. I finally got the chance to sleep in! I've forgotten how much I've missed sleep. It's funny how some people think sleep is a waste of time. My dad always says "You can catch up on your sleep when you're dead." Being that we spend an average of 1/4 of our lives sleeping, he might have a point. But for the 3/4 of the time we are awake, what's the point of being awake if you're groggy and slow? I think I'm going to get some more sleep from now on. I can feel the difference. It's like changing your top sirloin steak to a porterhouse cut. Yup, I definitely need more sleep.
These pictures are random, but they are from the trip to Phoenix and San Diego last weekend.
