Hai, Your Highness!
Working at a Japanese employment agency, it's hard not to imagine a scenario where I don't converse in Japanese over the phone. When I AM forced into this hole, I usually try to burrow my way out of there as quickly as I can. Unfortunately, sometimes I have nowhere to go and I'm forced to try to speak in proper Japanese.
For those who don't know, speaking in proper Japanese to a customer or possible client is equivalent to addressing someone from the royal family. Not only do you have to make sure you conjugate your verbs into the inferior form, you have to conjugate the clients' verbs into superior form. So "I'll transfer you to Mr. X. Hold please" would become "My worthless soul will now transfer your blessed spirit to Mr. X. Would you have any problem waiting momentarily?"

Other than spitting flattering praises over the phone, work has been fine. I'm getting more involved with the recruiting and interviewing processes now. The only qualm I have is the drive through traffic every morning and afternoon. I'm tempted to take the subway to work... Yes, Los Angeles DOES has a subway system. Yeah, who knew huh?
Last weekend I got to see some friends at Riverside. My friend lived on a street right after "Ted Court." Dayamn, I should have brought a hacksaw that night cuz I wanted that sign. Anyway, thanks for hosting that potluck Kozey. You were so busy I didn't even get to kick it with you. Talk about RideShare Shuttle Driver. And, I also got to see my Yakiniku Korean Mami, Christina. At first I didn't know what she was doing holding a knife, but then finally it sunk in. She was cooking! That in itself was worth the trip. haha. For everyone else, it was a blast seeing all yall. No doubt you guys got crump that night. I'm too old for that now though. (cough cough, leans on cane)
Alright... I need to hit the gym and start reading on real estate investments. Next week Albert, Ellen, Linda and I are going to Arizona to look for houses. Hmmm... I'll be sure to post up what we found. Till the next time.
