Naked versus Scantily Clad
I went to Bona Corso with Linda for dinner last night. Bona Corso is located on the corner of Walnut and Lake Ave in Pasadena. It's an Italian joint that has a slight rustic feel to it once you step inside. I don't know why, but I had pretty high expectations coming into this place. I opted for the Sampler Dish, which had Lasagne, Ravioli, and Spaghetti on one plate while Linda got the Chicken Valdini.
Sounded like a good idea... Nope. The food was just average and the serving size was larger than a fat man's fourth chin. I actually think the sheer volume of food heaped onto our plates was what made the food seem worse than it really was.
Come to think of it, lots of food can actually make a dish seem less appetizing. When you have lots of food available, it's hard to think of it as special. Maybe that's why the really expensive restaurants have entrees of miniscule proportions. Having small portions of food on a plate is not only more aesthetically pleasing in general, it makes one think every bite is priceless and ethereal, an exclusivity effect on the psyche.
In this day and age where my tastes are changing before me, I know I don't like things I used to. For instance, I really don't like going to buffets anymore. Even if it's Bellagio, or a really good sushi buffet, I don't have urges to go like I used to. Before, I wanted to get my money's worth when it came to food but now I'm thinking the size of a typical French meal would be more than enough to satisfy me.
If I go a step further with this, I think my preference with woman, visually speaking, have changed as well. If I had the option of seeing a woman naked or scantily clad over the course of a day, I think I would prefer the latter. Now don't get my wrong, I love birthday suits and think they should be worn more often, but if I were to spend time with a girl for 24 straight hours, I'd rather her wear something that constantly pokes and slaps my imagination.
Now I guess this also depends on one's individual imagination. If you aren't imaginative or if you take things at face value, you'd probably want to see the goods as soon as possible. But you would FOR SURE get bored of it after 3-4 hours. If you don't have to use your imagination, your mind will eventually get accustomed to ANY stimulus. It's like watching your dog hump your friend's leg- Funny at first, but after awhile, your interest will wander. Okay maybe not quite, but still.
For those that still insist that complete nudity is better than scantily dressed, to each his own. I just think seeing strategically placed articles of clothing over a woman's body provides a longer lasting  taste to the eyes in the long run.
Enough commentary remarks. My junior high school English teacher told me to always provide concrete evidence to support any commentary notes. Here you go:

Dayang, how did I get from talking about food to clothing on women? I guess the common denominator IS food: Food for the stomach and food for the eyes.

I really shouldn't be giving you daily eye candy because I've posted enough on this entry, but call me a sucker for tradition. This is Lucy Pinder, a British model who made it big after a photographer snapped some pictures of her on the beach. Enjoy.
