Filet o Fish and Alcohol
You know McDonald's brought back Filet o Fish Fridays? Yessiree. You can cop your fish sandwich for a measley buck. Awwww yeah. Sadly, the closest McDonald to me isn't a participating vendor. Piece of %$@! But fortunately, there's another McDonald's close to the cursed one near my house so all is well that ends well. Mickey Ds also introduced their double filet o fish sandwich recently. Interesting concept... I'm willing to try it, but they better be using twice the amount of tarter sauce! That's what makes the sandwich so good. I always say a filet o fish sandwich without tartar sauce is like spreading tartar sauce during an orgasm without actually feeling anything. Pretty pointless, no? hahahah. I can go on with this one for awhile but I'll just move onto the next topic.
Liquor! Or in my case, lack of. I've been abstaining from alcohol for the past three weeks. Not because I wanted to or felt the urge to become a more health conscious individual. No. It was doctor's orders. Three weeks ago, my stomach started acting like Courtney Love in court and I started getting concerned so I visited a physician. He told me it could be anything from a simple case of indigestion to more serious ulcers. I was prescribed an acid reflux medication and was told to abstain from alcohol and spicy foods. It was rough the first week, but I soon got used to the notion of not drinking. The vivid memories and lingering aftertaste of hangovers are now just faded pictures hanging on the walls of my sober consciousness. Guess we'll have to see if those pictures stay that way or get retouched in the near future. =D

Yesterday Lan and I met up with Michelle (whose online journal can be accessed through the link on the left column titled "Shelle Tells") for lunch. We swung by Irvine to pick Shelle up and headed out to Garden Grove to try some nem nuong (Vietnamese sausage). The food was good and we even stopped by a nearby bakery to get some banh mi (Vietnemese-French sandwiches) afterwards. The sandwiches were pretty good but they paled in comparison to the ones I've had in the past. It's like feeding a carnivore a sirloin steak when all he can remember is that nice thick tender juicy porterhouse cut he had a year ago. I need to find out where to get those sandwiches I had before. My stomach is starting to impatiently tap its digestive tract. If anyone out there knows of a good banh mi sandwich shop or bakery in the San Gabriel Valley or in OC, let me know. PLEASE!!!!

Last night I hit up the Sunset Room for Dan Kitajima's b-day celebration. That guy was pretty gone when I met up with him in the club. Gone, but still acting like a true professional. Happy b-day brutha. Hope your agenda went according to game plan man.

Today's eye candy is supermodel Karolina Kurkova. She can be seen strutting what her momma gave her on runways, in Victoria Secret ads, Express ads, and in numerous fashion magazines. Itadakimasu!
