Super Nipple Weekend

So the Patriots won by 3 points!!! I actually didn't really care who won today and after watching the first 20 minutes, I was thinking about occupying my time elsewhere. Fortunately, things picked right before halftime and the game ended on a climaxed note. I could have sworn the game was going to run into overtime, but NOPE! A long kick and it was all over.

I'm not sure what is worse: To get defeated by a landslide, knowing your chances of winning never existed, or to get beaten at the last second, tasting the sweetness of victory only to have another team grab that sweetness away and devour it right in front of you. It's like the psychological differences in emotions between silver and bronze medal recipients. The bronze medalist is usually happy he/she received any medal at all, while the silver medalist usually feels unsatisfied because the gold was easily within their reach. Hmmmm...

During the halftime show hosted by MTV, viewers got to see Janet Jackson, P Diddy, Nelly, Kid Rock, Justin Timberlake, and Janet Jackson's areola. Areolae you might inquire? Nope, not plural but singular. That's right, Janet Jackson's right nipple was exposed when Justin stripped the piece of clothing as their flirtatious duet ended... CBS did a pretty good job of covering up the accident, but if you were paying attention, you knew it was kinda nippy in Houston. =P

On Friday evening, Albert, Ellen, Richard, and Colin hosted their house warming party in PQ. It was a fun-filled night that went on until 4:30 in the morning. The neighbors came around 3:30 to ask us to quiet down, but being that the walls of the house did nothing to shield the noise within from creeping outdoors, it's actually amazing that nobody complained before that time. The drinks were good and plentiful, the company was great, the music was poppin, and I had a good buzz. It just doesn't get any better than that.

Book Fight

Fallen Idols by J.F. Freedman

vs.

Deception by John Altman

Winner - Fallen Idols. Altman did a good job writing a book that touched on espionage, the unknown operations of government bureaucracies, and potential plights of technology, but I just wasn't as drawn to the overall story as I was with Fallen Idols. Freedman managed to hold my attention the whole time and had me wanting to finish the book as soon as I could to see what exactly happened. I love books that snag my attention.

Today's eye candy is model Kim Smith. She's had a good amount of exposure already, from being a guess girl to being featured in Maxim Magazine's swimsuit editions to appearing in Nsync's video. This young hottie will be here for a long time. Here's a candy with long-lasting flavor.
